Recently, as part of a Ford Aftersales event focused on delivering the customer experience of the future, we had the privilege of visiting the Ford of Britain Heritage Collection—an incredible archive celebrating more than a century of Ford's history in the UK.

More Than Just Classic Cars

Located at Ford's parts distribution centre in Daventry, the Ford of Britain Heritage Collection is home to around 130 carefully preserved vehicles that tell the story of Ford's journey in Britain.

From the iconic Model T to modern performance cars, the collection showcases the innovation, engineering and design that have made Ford one of Britain's best-loved automotive brands.

While the collection includes some truly legendary models, including motorsport icons and rare prototypes, it was the everyday cars that really captured our attention.

Cars That Bring Back Memories

Walking through the collection felt like taking a trip through British motoring history.

Many of the vehicles on display are cars that our customers, colleagues and their families have owned, driven or grown up with over the years.

From the much-loved Ford Fiesta and Escort to the Sierra, Mondeo, Granada, Capri and the ever-reliable Transit, these are the cars that became part of everyday life for millions of people across the country.

They're more than just vehicles—they're memories of first driving lessons, family holidays, commuting to work and countless everyday journeys.

Looking to the Future

Our visit wasn't just about celebrating Ford's past.

The Heritage Collection formed part of a wider Ford event focused on the future of Aftersales, exploring how dealerships can continue to improve customer service through new technology, digital innovation and evolving customer expectations.

It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on how far the industry has come while looking ahead to the next generation of Ford vehicles and ownership experiences.
